In short, teeth get loose and fall out. Gingivitis (bleeding and inflammation in the gums) quietly progresses to periodontitis (the loss of bone around teeth). Calculus (tartar), a collection of hardened bacteria that firmly sticks to the roots of teeth and continues to accumulate.

Lightwalker laser technology: Dr. Ressler uses one of the most advanced, dual-wavelength dental lasers available in the world today. The first laser (Nd:YAG) painlessly vaporizes the diseased lining of infected gum tissue. A second water-cooled laser (Erbium) then cleans and detoxifies the teeth roots, aimed at stopping the bone loss and saving teeth.

Gum disease is diagnosed by dental x-rays and a periodontal examination. Dr. Ressler reads your dental x-rays and gently examines your gums to measure periodontal pockets and look for signs of active gum disease, bone loss, and loosening of teeth.
